Overview


In this website design project, I was tasked with the redesign of a Tech group of companies website (Amorserv.com) with the aim of highlighting the different business arms and their core service offerings in a visually attractive and engaging website interface while making information easily readable and accessible. The goal was to create a seamless and intuitive platform that enhances usability, increases engagement, and drives conversions for each company profile under the mother brand.

Problem

The existing website suffered from several usability issues and a cluttered interface, leading to a poor user experience for visitors. Users found it challenging to navigate the site, book appointments, discover core services, or find information about the various business arms, resulting in high bounce rates and low conversion rates. Additionally, the lack of mobile responsiveness made the site inaccessible to a significant portion of potential users.



Process


  1. Research and Analysis: I engaged in a kick off meeting with the client to clearly identify the challenges and pain points of the current website and to come up with a new brief detailing the required updates and layout preferences. Then after finalizing on the website design brief and reviewing with the client I proceeded to come up with 3 sample low fidelity homepage designs based on the requirements in the brief to also review with the client to identify the best fit layout.
  2. Low Fidelity Designs and Prototyping: Based on findings from initial reviews with the client and the approved low fidelity design, I created the high fidelity designs and prototype to visualize the new website structure and user flow. I focused on simplifying navigation, improving information architecture, ensuring clear visual hierarchy for important information as well as interactive UI elements and enhancing the overall user experience.
  3. Visual Design: With the low fidelity designs as a guide, I developed a clean and modern visual design that aligned with the brand identity and appealed to the target audience. I paid attention to typography, colour palette, ensured visual elements were accessible and utilized quality imagery to create a visually engaging and cohesive design.
  4. Responsive Design: I ensured that the website was fully responsive and optimized for various devices and screen sizes. Using responsive design principles and techniques, I created a seamless experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices, allowing users to access the site anytime, anywhere.
  5. User Testing and Iteration: I conducted usability testing with the client and other relevant stakeholders to gather feedback on the prototype and identify any usability issues or areas for improvement. Based on the feedback received, I iterated on the design, making adjustments and refinements to address user needs and preferences.

Result


The redesigned website successfully addressed the usability issues and improved the overall user experience for visitors. Key outcomes of the project include:
